Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital seeks a Pediatric Ambulatory Float Nurse to care for patients across outpatient settings, expanding pediatric knowledge and working with new colleagues.

The role involves triage, care coordination, patient and family education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across multiple Boston locations. Shifts are 32 or 40 hours, Monday–Friday, with varying hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• 1 year of outpatient pediatric RN experience preferred.
• Massachusetts RN license required.
• Experience in multiple clinical settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients and families in outpatient clinics.
• Support clinic flow and care coordination during visits.
• Triaging and managing phone calls; coordinating care.
• Communicate with patients, families and healthcare providers.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and follow-up.
