Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the North Peds Clinic. The role supports basic patient care under supervision in an ambulatory setting. Shift is 8 hours, daytime, full-time with a 36-hour week and a $15.00–$23.00 hourly wage.

Responsibilities include vital signs, specimen collection, room preparation, and clerical tasks. CNAs are preferred; BLS required within 60 days. The clinic offers a strong team culture and favorable work-life balance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• Minimum six months' experience preferred, clinic setting preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and equipment preferred.
• CNA preferred; BLS required or within first 60 days.
• ND ND: must register as NA if not CNA within four months.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks and assist in ambulatory services.
• Measure height/weight, vitals, vision screening; assist with tests.
• Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and dispose of biomedical waste per policy.
• Stock inventory and restock supplies; support patient registries.
• Maintain professionalism and excellent interpersonal communication.
• Assist with reception/clerical tasks as needed.
