Job summary

The Division of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University (CHOR at VCU) is recruiting a physician to participate in clinical, teaching and research activities.

The division provides care at the downtown CHOR at VCU and travels to community clinics. The role includes teaching medical students, Residents, Fellows, and participating in research; open rank with 12 months tenure; administrative duties will be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent degree required.
• Board certification in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine required or eligible.
• Board eligible or certified in Allergy and Immunology preferred.
• Experience in an academic medical center or teaching environment.
• Commitment to respect and civility across diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teaching: provide teaching and mentorship to medical students, Residents, Chief Residents, and Fellows.
• Research: participate in clinical, translational, and outcomes research with knowledge of research methods.
• Service: engage in departmental or School of Medicine committees and professional activities.
• Clinical: serve as a pediatric allergy and immunology physician for CHOR at VCU, delivering inpatient and outpatient care.
• Administrative: undertake duties associated with this role.
