Providence is hiring a Flight Paramedic at Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock, TX. The position requires state and national paramedic certifications, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and active 911 flight service experience, with opportunities to participate in advanced medical treatments

Qualifications

• Successful completion and maintenance of Department of State Health Services or National Registry approved Paramedic training program/certification/license.
• Upon hire: Texas Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic License - Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems, Or
• Upon hire: Texas Paramedic License - Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
• Caregivers will be required to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
• 5 years recent experience as EMT-P with an active 911 service of flight service.

Responsabilités

• Deliver quality care for critically ill or injured in air medical or ground transportation environment without supervision.
• Highly skilled in airway management, especially important for pediatric patients.
• Interact with physicians and other healthcare facilities; ensure compliance with Covenant Health System policies and procedures.
• Care for patients using assessment skills and written standards when physician contact is not possible.
• Assist with advanced medical treatment modalities as directed by Medical Director and Coordinator of Specialty Transport.
• Participate in continuing education and training of future Flight Paramedics.
