Qualifications

• Successful completion and maintenance of Department of State Health Services or National Registry approved Paramedic training program/certification/license.
• Texas Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic License - Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems
• Texas Paramedic License - Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
• National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
• Driving may be necessary; provide driver license & auto insurance on request; comply with state driving laws
• 5 years recent experience as EMT-P with an active 911 service of flight service

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality care for critically ill or injured in air or ground transport without supervision.
• Interact with physicians and alternative healthcare facilities to coordinate care.
• Participate in advanced medical treatment modalities as directed by Medical Director and Coordinator of Specialty Transport.
• Assist with continuing education in the community and with training of future Flight Paramedics.
