Job summary

UNC Health is seeking a Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for our Float Pool serving the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill region. The role offers per diem work options (1–2 days) with a requirement to work once every 90 days.

NC licensure and NC APRN/PA credentials are required, with Epic experience a plus. The position emphasizes high-quality pediatric care across several sites, with on-site assignments and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) in North Carolina.
• Board certification if required by the Department; DEA.
• 1+ year of experience in pediatric APP roles.
• Knowledge of Epic is a plus; ability to use EHR effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric APP coverage for the Float Pool in Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill areas.
• Work per diem with variable schedules, including 1–2 day options; must be able to work at least once every 90 days.
• Coordinate patient care with on-site teams and ensure timely documentation.

Education Requirements
