Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a registered nurse to perform acute hemodialysis procedures as part of an interdisciplinary team. You will provide direct patient care, schedule procedures, and ensure safe, high-quality outcomes for pediatric patients.

BSN with two years’ clinical experience or ADN with three years’ experience is acceptable. GA RN licensure is required; PALS/PEARS within 1 year.

Qualifications

• BSN with two years’ clinical experience (3000 hours) or ADN with three years’ clinical experience (4500 hours).
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Georgia or multi-state licensure via the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.
• PALS or PEARS certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs hemodialysis priming, emergency management, and bedside care under the nephrologist.
• Schedules patient procedures and coordinates interdisciplinary care.
• Delivers culturally sensitive care and documents care plans accurately.
• Utilizes clinical decision support tools to prioritize and adjust plans.
• Educates patients and families and ensures safe, effective, and cost-conscious care.
• Maintains equipment, inventory, and participates in quality/process improvements.
• Engages in ongoing learning and maintains professional competencies.
