Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for pediatric acute care therapy on a PRN basis.

The role involves evaluating and treating pediatric patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring proper documentation and discharge planning. Minimum requirements include a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist; ASHA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes treatment plans and delivers therapy aligned with discharge goals.
• Educates and collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams; referrals as needed.
• Delegates tasks to assistants and students with clear competency guidance.
• Completes documentation per departmental policies.
• Performs assessments, reassessments, and consultations for Speech Services.
