Qualifications

• Registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy at the time of hire.
• Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required.
• Any combination of two years of post-high school experience and/or education in the natural sciences or completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care responsibilities under pharmacist supervision.
• Manage inventory maintenance in dispensing areas.
• Prepare and compound sterile and non-sterile products.
