Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a Director of Nursing, Acute Care to provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership across Nemours acute care services in the Delaware Valley. The role focuses on safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care, driving care delivery models, workforce strategies, and enterprise initiatives.

The incumbent partners with nursing, medical, and operations leaders to improve patient flow, regulatory readiness, and quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Masters of Science in Nursing required.
• Certification in specialty and/or Nursing Leadership certification required.
• AHA BLS
• Minimum of 10 years pediatric nursing experience required.
• 5 years management & leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for acute care services, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care across the continuum.
• Oversees behavioral health care delivery, policies, and supporting systems to ensure safe, coordinated care for patients with behavioral health needs.
• Leads and develops high-performing leaders and teams through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
