Job summary

El Paso Children's Hospital seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our pediatric acute care team on the night shift in El Paso, TX. You will assess and diagnose pediatric patients, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, order tests, document care, and coordinate referrals under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer.

Candidates must hold Texas APRN licensure, DEA registration, BLS and PALS, with graduate-level education in advanced nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of pediatric acute care setting experience or equivalent.
• Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Texas.
• DEA license number or eligible to apply.
• BLS and PALS required by AHA.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose pediatric patients and formulate treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and order laboratory tests as indicated.
• Document care and coordinate referrals to other services.
• Collaborate with supervising physician and Chief Nursing Officer.
