Job summary

Comprehensive Early Autism Services (CEAS) in Lansing, MI is seeking Behavior Technicians to work 1:1 with children ages 2–10 in home, school and community settings, applying ABA principles to improve communication, self-help, and early academic skills.

The role requires a valid car and willingness to travel within the greater Lansing area; a bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, child development, or a related field is preferred, along with experience with young children or individuals

Qualifications

• This position requires a car and a willingness to travel within the greater Lansing area
• A Bachelor’s degree or pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, child development, or related field
• Experience with young children or individuals with disabilities
• All employees must be able to lift approximately 30 pounds and move easily from a seated position

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with children in skill areas (conversation, motor, self-help, pre-academic)
• Integrate the child’s family into therapy sessions
• Data collection and data-based decisions
• Learn strategies and procedures to teach children with developmental delays
• Attend team meetings and coordinate with therapists
• Travel to the home of each client on the therapist’s caseload
