Job summary

Ascend Rehab Services is hiring an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Specialist / Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an in-person role in California. We welcome both full-time and part-time candidates and offer a flexible combination of settings including Early Intervention, outpatient clinics, and school districts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• CCC-SLP certification.
• CA State SLP license.
• AAC assessment experience.
• School-based experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' communication needs and abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized AAC plans tailored to each patient's requirements.
• Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to support students in school settings.
• Provide training and support to families and caregivers on AAC device usage.
• Stay updated on advancements in speech therapy and AAC technologies.
