Job summary

UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOM Norman campus is seeking a facilities maintenance worker to perform routine maintenance and repair across trades under minimal supervision. You will handle electrical, plumbing, HVAC, swimming pool maintenance, painting, carpentry and landscaping, plus related tasks and paperwork, ensuring safe and functional facilities for daily operations.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7am–4pm, with pay starting at $16.50 per hour based on experience and qualifications; benefits are not

Qualifications

• No formal education required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, swimming pool maintenance and repair, paint, carpentry and landscape activities.
• Cleans the work area.
• Identifies emergency repairs beyond his/her skill level in order to summon on-call assistance using defined procedures.
• Performs minor equipment repair.
• Completes required forms and logs.
• Assist with gameday setup/teardown
• Performs tasks using small hand tools and power equipment.
• Performs various duties as needed to fulfill the position.

Performs a variety of duties involving general facilities maintenance. Performs routine maintenance and repair to facilities under minimal supervision in areas such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, swimming pools, food service equipment, landscape, paint, and carpentry.

• Performs maintenance duties such as basic plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, swimming pool maintenance and repair, paint, carpentry and landscape activities.
• Cleans the work area.
• Identifies emergency repairs beyond his/her skill level in order to summon on-call assistance using defined procedures.
• Performs minor equipment repair.
• Completes required forms and logs.
• Assist with gameday setup/teardown

• Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Required Education and Experience:

• None

Skills:

• Strong initiative to solve problems
• Ability to work with a diverse group of coaches, administration and student-athletes
• Drivers' license to drive campus vehicles
