Job summary

The University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Worker to perform routine maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pools, paint, carpentry and landscape. The role includes basic repairs, daily cleaning, and identifying emergencies to summon on-call help.

You will also handle minor equipment repairs, complete forms, assist with gameday setup, and use hand tools and power equipment as required.

Pay Range: Targeted salary $16.50 per hour based on experience

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am-4pm

Position Introduction

Performs a variety of duties involving general facilities maintenance. Performs routine maintenance and repair to facilities under minimal supervision in areas such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, swimming pools, food service equipment, landscape, paint, and carpentry.

• Performs maintenance duties such as basic plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, swimming pool maintenance and repair, paint, carpentry and landscape activities.
• Cleans the work area.
• Identifies emergency repairs beyond his/her skill level in order to summon on-call assistance using defined procedures.
• Performs minor equipment repair.

• Assist with gameday setup/teardown
• Performs tasks using small hand tools and power equipment.
