Job summary

Mackenzie, based in Seattle, is seeking a highly talented structural engineer (PE required) with 4–6 years of experience for our Seattle office. This full-time role emphasizes coordination with architects, engineers, and MEP teams, and demands strong design and project management skills.

Responsibilities include developing projects from concept through construction, performing gravity and lateral calculations, and coordinating construction documents for small to medium projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• 4 to 6 years of structural experience with relevant project types.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
• Working knowledge of codes (ASCE 7, ASCE 41, ACI, AISC, etc.).
• Ability to coordinate and assemble construction documents on small to medium projects.
• Experience with steel and interest in manufacturing/semiconductor projects a plus.
• Open to new ideas and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural projects from conceptual planning through design documents and construction.
• Collaborate with Architects, Interior Designers, Civil Engineers, Landscape Architects, and MEP consultant teams on projects.
• Perform and lead structural gravity and lateral calculations on a wide variety of projects.
