Job summary

Mackenzie Inc. in Portland seeks a highly talented structural engineer (PE required) with 4–6 years of experience for our Portland office. This full-time role emphasizes coordination with multiple disciplines and self-motivated work in a dynamic environment.

You will develop projects from concept to construction, collaborate with architects, civil and MEP teams, and lead gravity and lateral calculations. The hybrid schedule supports in-office Tue–Thu and remote Mon/Fri, with a strong focus on

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in engineering required.
4–6 years of structural engineering experience.
PE license required.
Working knowledge of ASCE 7/41, ACI, AISC.
Ability to assemble construction documents for small to medium projects.
Experience with steel and manufacturing/semiconductor projects is a plus.
Open to new ideas and challenges.

Responsibilities

Develop structural projects from concept through design and construction.
Collaborate with Architects, Civil Engineers, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, and MEP teams.
Perform and lead gravity and lateral calculations on a wide variety of projects.
