Job summary

Rambus is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its IC Operations-Quality team in the USA. You will drive customer quality initiatives and coordinate with suppliers to meet Rambus and customer requirements in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

The role reports to the QA Director and is full-time, with a hybrid work approach. You will leverage problem-solving skills and ISO 9001 knowledge to ensure high-quality products and compliant processes across the supply chain.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years in quality engineering for customers and suppliers in the semiconductor industry.
  • ISO 9001 auditor certification a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate customer requirements review with cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as main day-to-day contact for customers on issues and requests.
  • Support and coordinate customer quality surveys and supplier audits.
  • Manage and support the customer's new product approval process.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to monitor and control supplier quality.
  • Ensure flow-down of special requirements to suppliers and compliance.
  • Conduct supplier quality audits and periodic reviews (QMS/processes).
  • Drive supplier quality improvements via audits, reporting and corrective actions.

Overview

Rambus , a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Quality Engineer to join our IC Operations-Quality team in the USA. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.

As a Quality Engineer , the candidate will be reporting to the QA Director and is a full-time position. We are looking for innovative, proactive, and experienced quality engineer to support customer quality and drive supplier quality to consistently meet Rambus and customer requirements.

Rambus offers a flexible work environment , embracing a hybrid approach for the majority of our office-based roles . We encourage e mployees to spend an average of at least three days per week working onsite , allowing for two days of remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates customer requirements review with various teams to ensure Rambus has the capability and capacity to support the requirements .
  • Act s as the main day to day contact for customers on issues and requirements and collaborates with the internal teams and suppliers for a timely issue or request resolution.
  • Provide s support and coordination of customer quality surveys and audits of Rambus or its suppliers.
  • Manages and supports customer’s new product approval process and requirements.
  • Direct interface and collaboration with suppliers to monitor and control supplier quality.
  • Manages the flow down of special requirements to suppliers and ensures consistent compliance.
  • Conduct s supplier quality audits and periodic reviews , covering QMS and processes.
  • Drive s supplier quality improvements through supplier audits, supplier quality reporting and corrective actions.

Qualifications
  • BS Degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Min. 5 years’ experience in Quality Engineering supporting customers and suppliers, in the semiconductor industry.
  • Auditor certification (ISO 9001, Supplier Audit), a plus
  • Possesses excellent problem-solving skills and use of analytical and problem-solving tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group internally and externally with customers and suppliers.

The US salary range for this full‑time position is $141,000 to $212,000 . Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
