Job summary

Rambus is seeking a Product Engineer for the Operations Engineering team in San Jose. In this full-time role, you will define test coverage and qualification strategies for new products, manage multiple NPIs, and coordinate with wafer fabs and OSATs.

The position supports a hybrid work model with three days onsite and two days remote. You will work with analog/mixed-signal power ICs, ATE testing, and data analysis, reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Engineering.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in New Product Introduction, Test Coverage & DFT.
  • Experience in product lifecycle and BOM management.
  • Experience with wafer fab Foundries and OSATs (Test & Assembly).
  • Knowledge of ATE; Advantest V93k preferred.
  • Experience with DDR and high-speed digital products.

Responsibilities

  • Define test coverage, flow, characterization and qualification for NPI.
  • Project management with internal cross-functional teams, customers and suppliers.
  • Manage multiple NPI programs from kickoff to production.
  • Set up and maintain NPI infrastructure with schedules and resources.
  • Oversee product life cycle from design to high-volume manufacturing and RMA.
  • Work with analog/mixed-signal power ICs, ATE and data analysis.

Overview

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider making data faster and safer, is seeking to hire an exceptional Product Engineering to join our Operations Engineering team in San Jose. In this role, you will be working with some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world developing products that make data faster and safer.

As a Product Engineer, you will play a key role in new product introduction. In this full-time position, you will report directly to the Senior Manager of Product Engineering. Our Product Engineering team focuses on introducing new products and transferring them to our OSAT partners, and your contributions will be vital to new product development and revenue growth.

Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for most office-based roles. Employees are encouraged to spend an average of at least three days per week onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Define Test coverage, Flow, Characterization and Qualification for New Product Introduction.
  • Project management with effective communications skills with internal cross functional teams, customers and suppliers.
  • Manage multiple new product introductions in parallel from Project Kickoff to Production.
  • Set up and maintain infrastructure for new product introduction including detailed schedule and resource allocation for new products.
  • Complete life cycle of products from design, prototypes, high volume manufacturing bring up and RMA/sustaining support.
  • Strong knowledge of analog, mixed signal and power semiconductor circuits and devices including switching and linear regulators, drivers, references, ADC, OTP/MTP, scan.
  • (ATE) for Final Test and Wafer Sort of Power Management ICs (PMICs)
  • Experience in Failure Analysis and RMA support.
  • Optimize yield, Cost, Cycle Time and Quality.
  • Software C/C++, Red hat Linux
  • Data Analysis proficiency. Software: PDF, JMP, Silicon Dash
Qualifications

  • Experience in New Product Introduction, Test Coverage & DFT
  • Experience Product life cycle and BOM.
  • Experience working with Wafer fab Foundry and Test & Assembly OSAT's.
  • Experience and knowledge of ATE. Advantest V93k experience preferred.
  • Experience on DDR and High-speed Digital products.
  • Ability to independently learn and solve problems.
  • Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders.

The US salary range for this full-time position is $124,000 to $230,400. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
