Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking a Professional Engineer II to design and analyze structures that support the built environment.

You will join a team delivering safe, innovative structural solutions and coordinating with manufacturing, project management, and field erection. This role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, PE licensure, and at least 6 years of engineering experience, including complex multi-unit projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license required or eligible for licensure.
• 6 years of engineering experience preferred, with multi-unit projects.

Responsibilities

• Uses engineering systems and drawings to provide project coordination and structural design services and models for customers.
• Provides well utilized designs of members and connections for Detailing and Manufacturing that meet customer's requirements.
• Assures building's structural integrity and safety.
• Develops advanced product and procedure knowledge and improves technical knowledge.
• Focuses on achieving department objectives and profitability goals and continuous improvement as part of a high-performance team.
• Ensures customer design service needs are met by meeting design schedules.
• Collaborates with project teams to discuss problems and create cost-effective solutions.
• Provides technical assistance to customers on projects as well as to entry-level Designers.
• Develops Structural Quotes.
