Job summary

City of Berkeley is seeking a licensed civil engineer to advance the city’s infrastructure, streets, and facilities. You will apply your engineering knowledge to design, inspect, and manage projects that enhance sustainability and resilience for a growing urban environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • California PE registration is required.
  • Three years of professional design and construction experience.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to new projects across City of Berkeley Public Works.
  • Review impacts to public right-of-way for downtown Berkeley projects and UC Berkeley initiatives.
  • Provide Construction Management and Inspection for capital projects.
  • Lead capital improvement projects within Parks, Recreation & Waterfront Department.
