Job summary

Bell & Associates, Inc. is recruiting a Corporate Controller for a PE-backed platform in Nashville.

This foundational leadership role builds the accounting function from the ground up and partners with the CFO to scale toward $50M EBITDA. Responsibilities include close, GAAP compliance, treasury, acquisition integration, and ERP implementation (Aspire, ADP, Ramp, Power BI) across a growing multi-entity environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in progressive accounting with multi-entity controllership.
• PE-backed, acquisitive experience with post-close integration.
• Strong technical accounting: ASC 805/606/842, PPA, revenue recognition.
• ERP implementation experience; ability to be system super-user.
• Experience with lender reporting and debt covenants.
• Multi-state payroll, tax compliance, audits.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly close across entities; improve timeliness and accuracy.
• Maintain GAAP-compliant books with strong internal controls.
• Oversee AP/AR/GL, reconciliations, intercompany eliminations.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax professionals for audits.
• Lead purchase accounting and integration for acquisitions (3–6/yr).
• Drive ERP implementation and tech stack onboarding for acquisitions.
• Manage treasury, cash management, 13-week forecast.
• Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team.
• Ensure policy design and control framework across the org.
