Job summary

Per Sé Group in Charlotte, NC is building a hands-on path from Project Engineer to Project Manager by pairing you with experienced PMs and Superintendents on commercial construction projects across sectors. You’ll split time between office and field, learning how decisions drive a project forward.

You’ll work on preconstruction, scheduling, procurement, RFIs, submittals, cost tracking and closeout. The goal is to teach you how to run projects and advance within an employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years in commercial construction.
• Know your way around drawings and specifications.
• Understand scheduling and cost control.
• Procore experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Support preconstruction activities across project phases.
• Review drawings and scopes with owners/subcontractors.
• Track long-lead materials, procurement, cost tracking and change orders.
• Assist teams to resolve issues and keep the project moving.

If you’re already comfortable reading drawings, tracking the details, and keeping a project moving, the next step isn’t another year of doing one small piece of the job. It’s learning how the whole thing gets built.

You’ll work alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents on commercial construction projects across sectors including industrial, healthcare, retail, technology and mission-critical work. You’ll split your time between the office and the field, getting exposure to the decisions that actually drive a project.

You’ll get your hands on

preconstruction, buyout, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, RFIs, submittals, change orders, cost tracking, procurement and closeout. You’ll review drawings and scopes, sit in on meetings with owners and subcontractors, track long-lead materials, spot problems early and help the team solve them.

The point isn’t to keep you busy with paperwork. It’s to teach you how to run projects.

Procore experience is helpful, but the bigger thing is that you’re organized, proactive and accountable.
