Job summary

RANDOLPH ELEMENTARY in Katy, TX, invites applicants for Aide - Physical Education to support the PE teacher with instructional activities, equipment organization, and classroom management. This is a full-time, on-site position with 187 duty days and non-exempt status.

The role requires basic office skills, ability to work with children, and holds a Paraprofessional aide certificate once employed; Title I campus qualifications vary. Starting date is immediate, reporting to the Principal.

Qualifications

• College hours 48 required for Title I campus or ParaPro score 464.
• College hours, high school diploma or GED for Non-Title I campus.
• Knowledge of filing system and general office skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instructional activities: exercising, demonstrating games, and monitoring children.
• Organize equipment needed for daily activities.
• Secretarial duties for the P.E. department: typing, filing, grading, and recording tests.
• Keep bulletin boards updated.
• Monitor locker room before and after class.
• Assist with updating gradebooks, recording roll and scores, and discipline marks.
• Bus duty before and/or after school.
• Supervise students when assigned.
