Qualifications

• College hours for Title I campus: 48 hours minimum or ParaPro score 464.
• College hours, high school diploma or GED for Non-Title I campus.
• Knowledge of filing system.
• Good physical condition.
• Enthusiasm for sports.
• General office skills.
• General office machines including computer.
• Ability to work with children.
• Paraprofessional aide certificate required once employed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instructional activities: exercising, demonstrating games, and monitoring children.
• Organize equipment needed for daily activities.
• Perform secretarial duties for the P.E. department: typing, filing, grading, and recording tests.
• Keep bulletin boards updated.
• Monitor locker room before and after class.
• Assist with updating gradebooks, recording roll, recording scores, and discipline marks.
• Bus duty before and/or after school.
• Supervise students when assigned.
