Job summary

Elwood Staffing is seeking a Professional Driver Workforce (PDW) Account Manager to manage the PDW General Ledger, lead monthly reconciliations, and provide analytical reporting for executive leadership. You will oversee payroll processes and act as the Paycor systems owner while supporting consolidation with the broader accounting team.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, demonstrates strong Excel skills, and can interpret complex financial data with confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Ability to read and interpret financial data with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain separate General Ledger for PDW, including GL entries for revenue, cost of sales, treasury transactions, and any intercompany charges related to A/P.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations as support for PDW trial balance.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reporting for PDW entity.
• Assist with ad hoc reports and analytics as requested by President of PDW.
• Provide oversight of weekly payroll process, and supervise/backup payroll specialist.
• Prepare information related to taxes, audits, etc.
• Serve as Accounting lead for Paycor software solution.
• Assist Elwood Staffing accounting team as needed to support consolidation.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time by the CFO, VP of Finance or supervisor.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or equivalent years of experience and training
• Proficient in Excel, pragmatic problem-solving skills
• Strong and demonstrated organization skills, detail orientation, and confidentiality
• Ability to communicate (written and verbally) with all levels of company and outside contacts
• Able to read and interpret financial data related to responsibilities
