Job summary

Dynamis Power Solutions in the Houston area is seeking an Experienced PDM Engineer to manage CAD data, ECO/ECN workflows, and BOM definitions for power generation packages. You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams on new and improved designs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, 3+ years in product design engineering in power or automotive sectors, and strong CAD/CAE experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience with CAD/engineering design practices and problem-solving disciplines (DFMEA, DVP&R, DFM, 8D, GD&T).
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a product design engineer in a relevant power generation or automotive company strongly preferred.
• Experience with metal fabrication and welding and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) Tools (FEA).

Responsibilities

• Assess project requirements and technical challenges; provide estimates and updates to Project Management.
• Implement and maintain a PDM software platform for drawings, models, ECO/ECN workflows.
• Manage revisions of drawings/specifications using CAD and PDM to meet safety and cost targets.
• Define bill of materials and installation specifications.
• Ensure designs meet specifications and supplier requirements.
• Produce component/system drawings and specs using Inventor and Vault; manage BOMs and constraints.
• Validate engineering change requests in coordination with stakeholders.
• Provide design support across development, procurement, launch and support phases.
