Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. Idaho seeks a PCVD Process Engineer to design, develop and optimize deposition processes for DRAM fabrication, expanding process capability and yield.

The role uses advanced data analysis with JMP or Python, applies SPC and FDC for process control, and runs DOEs across multi-chamber systems. A Master’s in Materials Science or Chemical Engineering with 5 years of related experience is required, with relocation TBD.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field required.
• 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• CVD/ALD or PVD thin-film deposition process knowledge and qualification.
• DRAM fabrication and process integration knowledge.
• Advanced data analysis using JMP or Python.
• Process control using SPC and FDC systems.
• DOE for multi-variable process optimization across multi-chamber systems.
• Defect analysis and corrective/preventive actions for yield improvement.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and optimize deposition processes to improve product quality and yield.
• Lead and participate in yield improvement and cost reduction activities.
• Coordinate equipment/material evaluation and qualification, and manage changes at process steps.
• Audit and collaborate with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and risk mitigation objectives.
• Provide proactive redundancy plans to avoid bottlenecks affecting Fab cycle time.
