Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Telemetry RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Choose your own schedule and work the hours that fit your life, with options for daily or weekly pay and flexible shifts.

You'll assess and monitor patients, manage cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and document care in electronic medical records. Active Virginia RN license and current BLS/ACLS are required, along with recent PCU experience.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
