Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Telemetry RNs for per diem shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Competitive per diem pay and flexible scheduling let you choose shifts that fit your life.

You will provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings, monitor cardiac rhythms, and collaborate with care teams. RNs with Virginia license and current BLS/ACLS are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
