Job summary

First Choice Nurses is hiring PCU Telemetry RNs for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a with flexible scheduling and daily/weekly pay options. Earn $56.25-$57.25 per hour as a Virginia-licensed RN with BLS/ACLS and required TB testing.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments
