Job summary

North Okaloosa Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week contract with potential transition to full-time or PRN. The role is in the PCU unit, requiring at least 1 year of PCU experience and night shifts (3–12 hours per week as needs dictate).

You will deliver patient-centered care, perform assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, compliant, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting are required
• Minimum 1 year PCU experience required
• Night shift schedule requires 3–12 hours per week based on unit needs

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions.
• Maintains patient safety and infection control standards.
• Documents patient care thoroughly in the medical record.
