Job summary

North Okaloosa Medical Center, part of Community Health Systems, is offering a limited-time Premium Pay CONTRACT RN position in the Cardiac/Stroke Medical/Surgical Unit (2 South). The RN will provide patient-centered care during the night shift (6pm–6am) with a minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week, and there is potential for full-time or PRN placement.

This role requires 1 year of inpatient/acute care nursing experience in a Cardiac/Stroke unit, strong assessment and medication

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• Experience in inpatient/acute care is preferred for Cardiac/Stroke units

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately, reporting changes promptly.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects per standards of practice.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency and scope.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions as needed.
• Provides patient education on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
