Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. Expect flexible shifts, including 7a-7p or 7p-7a, with daily or weekly pay options and the ability to build a schedule that fits your life.

Ideal candidates hold an active Virginia RN license, have 2+ years in PCU, and meet BLS/ACLS requirements. Per diem work offers freedom to pick shifts as desired while supporting local hospitals in Hampton Roads and beyond.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience in the past 4 years.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status changes.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
