Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. You can pick up shifts that fit your life, from a single shift to a fuller schedule.

Active Virginia RN license and 2 years PCU experience are required, with BLS/ACLS and other credentials as specified. Earn competitive per diem pay, with daily or weekly pay options and easy mobile scheduling.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months and COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain timely electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
