Job summary

First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. Take control of your schedule with 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts; you choose the shifts that fit your life.

As a PCU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital environments, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and collaborate with care teams. Virginia RN license and 2 years PCU experience required; BLS and ACLS, TB test within 12

Qualifications

• Virginia RN License required with 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience in past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within last 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
