First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital opportunities in the Hampton Roads area. You choose between day or night shifts, with per diem pay and flexible scheduling to fit your lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high‑quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and specialized equipment for PCU patients.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital infection-control and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs.
