Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. You will choose shifts that fit your life, with competitive per diem pay and flexible scheduling options, including the possibility to work as little as one shift per month.

Successful candidates will hold a Virginia RN license, have 2 years of recent PCU experience, BLS and ACLS, and be able to meet facility-specific credentials.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required and must have 2 years PCU experience within last 4 years.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
