First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is actively seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities in the Hampton Roads area. You control your schedule by picking day or night shifts at partner hospitals, enabling a flexible, per diem arrangement.

Join a team delivering high-quality care across acute settings. Requirements include a Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU experience, BLS, ACLS, TB test within 12 months, and COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA).
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and PCU equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety guidelines.
• Educate patients and families.
