Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the freedom to pick the days that fit your life.

The role involves delivering high-quality care in acute-care settings and requires a Virginia RN license, BLS/ACLS, and current health screenings. Responsibilities include patient assessment, rhythm monitoring, medication administration, and documentation in EMR.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License is required.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS and ACLS Current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications and IV therapies.
• Collaborating with physicians and care teams.
• Maintaining accurate electronic medical records.
• Following infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments.
