Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking an experienced PCU RN for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Shifts available 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the freedom to pick the schedule that fits your life.

Responsibilities include bedside assessment, rhythm monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians. You will document in EMR, follow infection-control standards, and educate patients and families about discharge plans.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience in the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold testing within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administer medications and IV therapies per orders.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Maintain timely electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units as needed.
