First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts are available 7a-7p and 7p-7a, offering the freedom to choose when you work.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in good standing.
• Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing in past 4 years.
• AHA BLS current certification.
• AHA ACLS current certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past year.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administering medications and IV therapies.
• Collaborating with physicians and care teams.
• Maintaining electronic medical records accurately.
• Following infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapting to different hospital units as needed.
