Job summary

Job Juncture is recruiting a Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) for an on-site, full-time position in Montana. The RN will provide specialized care for hemodynamically stable to unstable patients on a stepdown unit, with emphasis on nurse-to-patient ratios and teamwork.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, operating advanced medical equipment, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active Montana RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Experience in an advanced Medical/Surgical unit with recent Critical Care (ICU) or PCU/Stepdown preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to PCU patients up to hemodynamic stability or predictably unstable status.
• Manage a broad patient population including post-procedure care and complex surgeries.
• Monitor and stabilize patients using telemetry, monitors and IV pumps.
• Operate and manage advanced medical equipment (arterial lines, chest tubes, etc.).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from admission to discharge planning.
• Precept new staff and provide floor leadership as needed.
