Job summary

Medical City Lewisville is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Registered Nurse for the night shift (7PM-7AM) in the PCU. The RN will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers, focusing on pre- and post-operative nursing support.

Responsibilities include admission assessments, procedures per orders, accurate documentation, medication administration, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of cardiac and surgical care.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• ACLS within 6 months of start date.
• BCLS within 30 days of start date.
• 1+ year hospital experience.
• PCU/Med-Surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift; report changes.
• Perform procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Document care in the medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of meds, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical‑surgical patients.
