Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking a PCU RN for per diem assignments in Virginia. The role offers flexible shifts, hospital-based opportunities, and a locally focused staffing team to support you.

Active Virginia RN license and recent PCU experience are required, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. Enjoy daily/weekly pay options and the ability to pick shifts that fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and care teams.
• Maintaining electronic medical records.
• Following infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
