First Choice Nurses offers PCU RN per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a, giving you flexibility to pick the hours that fit your life.

You can take occasional extra shifts or build a fuller schedule with per diem pay options, daily and weekly pay, and a mobile scheduling platform. FCN provides hospital-based opportunities with a locally owned staffing team.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia.
• 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS Current
• AHA ACLS Current
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
