First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Virginia's Hampton Roads area. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with flexible scheduling and daily/weekly pay options.

You select the shifts that fit your life and build a fuller schedule if desired. As a PCU RN, you will deliver high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital environments, perform assessments, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer treatments, and maintain EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license
• 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• AHA BLS current
• AHA ACLS current
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
• Additional facility-specific credentials may be required

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and status changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams
• Maintain timely electronic medical records
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments
