First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital assignments in the Hampton Roads area. You can build a flexible schedule by choosing day or night shifts, with available daily and weekly pay options.

This opportunity lets you work in leading acute care hospitals, delivering high-quality PCU nursing care while maintaining control over when and where you work.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other equipment required for PCU patients.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.
