First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. You can pick shifts such as 7a-7p or 7p-7a, with the freedom to build a schedule that fits your life.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license is required.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS certification currently active.
• AHA ACLS certification currently active.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Adhere to infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
