Job summary
First Choice Nurses is recruiting experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts. Choose your own schedule, with options for daily or weekly pay and the flexibility to work as little as one shift per month.
Qualified candidates include Virginia RNs with 2 years of recent PCU experience, current BLS and ACLS, and necessary vaccinations. Per diem hospital assignments offer diverse acute-care environments and control over your workload.
Qualifications
- Virginia RN license required; 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience in the past 4 years.
- Current AHA BLS
- Current AHA ACLS
- QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
Responsibilities
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
- Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
- Adapting to different hospital units and environments
